2019 Region Leadership Conference Speakers

  William Basinger

William graduated in 1998 with a BA from St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX. He spent 7 years performing contracts administration in telecommunications before joining the Records Management ranks in 2007 where he managed an in-house records center at AT&T Wi-Fi Services. William is currently VP for the Information Lifecycle Management team at BBVA Compass, where he started in 2010 managing vendor consolidation, retention schedule creation, training development. Most currently he is leading the team implementing an electronic information management solution to organize and manage the structured and unstructured data across the company’s footprint.

William has been an active member of ARMA since 2007. He has served on the Austin ARMA Board as Newsletter Editor, WebMaster Co Chair, Vice President, President and is currently the Chapter Immediate Past President. He is also currently a Chapter Advisor on the Southwest Region leadership team for Governance and Operations. He achieved his Certified Records Manager certification in Mar of 2016 and received his certificate in Understanding the Generally Accepted Record Keeping Principles (the Principles) in 2014.

  Anita Castora

Anita is a Sr. Records Management Analyst at Jabil, Inc., in St. Petersburg, FL. Anita has over 20 years’ experience working in all facets of records management; developing and implementing policies, training, retention schedules, and auditing.

She has been an active board member for multiple ARMA chapters during her career and is the immediate past president of the Jacksonville Chapter, which had been dormant. Anita is currently a Chapter Advisor for the Southeast Region Board of ARMA International. She has received many awards and accolades from ARMA, ACEDS and other organizations. Anita was part of the teams for the Metro New York and Akron/Canton Chapters when they won Chapter of the Year. She is a Certified Records Manager (CRM), Information Governance Professional (IGP), and a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP). She was recently inducted into the ARMA Company of Fellows. Most recently, she was a leader for the first annual ARMA Florida Sunshine Conference to include all the Florida chapters. Anita is currently a member of the ARMA Gulf Coast Chapter.

  Anita Coard

Raegan is a Senior Records Analyst at SunTrust Bank. Raegan has over a decade of RIM experience working in banking and legal. She is the current Region Advisor on the Southeast Region Board of ARMA International. She is also a member of the Atlanta Chapter of ARMA and has served on their board most recently as Chairman of the Board. She has received multiple chapter awards and special recognitions. Raegan is certified in AED, CPR and First Aid and a active member of Girl Scouts.

  Mary Beth Hames

Mary Beth Hames is an expert and enthusiastic leader in Information Governance and Records Management. With over 20+ years’ experience developing, directing and managing daily operations across multiple business segments. Background includes Information Governance/RIM/Information Security/Project Manager/Business Analyst experience.

With a successful track record as liaison with business divisions company wide, Mary Beth excels in aligning people and resources, integrating business solutions, developing policies and procedures that align with company goals while delivering cost-effective solutions. She has ability to provide guidance and insight to senior executives and organizations through speaking engagements with regards to Records and Information Management best practices and industry standards.

As ARMA’s SW Region Director Mary Beth’s passion for ARMA and the membership provides great friendship and satisfaction and is a role she considers a blessing. In this role, Mary Beth sits at the middle of the association’s circle of communication offering support to chapter leaders and insight to headquarters. Regional leaders are empowered to communicate and support the integration of ARMA International’s strategic plan in the world’s local communities.

Ellen Holtzman

Elle Holtzman is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Project Management Professional (PMP) at Jabil. She has a Masters in Management International from University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science degree from University of South Florida.

Ellen started with Jabil as a Senior Accountant at the Florida plant before moving to IT as an Enterprise Solution Specialist for SAP Finance and Controlling Modules. During her 15 year tenure she has served as both team member and leader on a number of diverse cross-functional projects. Most recently she served as Global Lead/Point of Contact for Invoice Management of a Global Managed Network Services Vendor before joining the Jabil Healthcare Division as a Senior IT Project Manager.

As a lifelong learner; she earned a Masters Degree, PMP and many other certifications along the way to stay relevant in Jabil's ever evolving culture. This includes a Distinguished Toastmaster Certification which she earned by serving as an Officer at the Club and District levels over the years since joining in 2009.

  Michelle Kirk

Michelle Kirk, IGP, CRM is the Director of Information Governance and Chief Privacy Officer at Georgia-Pacific. She has over 20 years of experience in ECM, RIM and IG, specializing in IG strategy and risk mitigation. Prior to her current role, Michelle was an IG Program Manager for Iron Mountain Professional Services, and a VP of RIM at SunTrust Bank. Michelle is currently on the Board of Directors of ARMA International.

  Emily Martin

Emily Martin has worked in records management for thirteen years. She is the Records Manager at Stone Pigman Walther Wittmann LLC in New Orleans. She holds a Bachelor's degree in English and a Masters in Library and Information Science. She became a CRM in 2016. Active in the Greater New Orleans ARMA Chapter, she has served as chapter president, vice-president, secretary and board member. She is currently serving as the ARMA Southwest Region Team as the Chapter Advisor for Education and Programming. When not working, she is hard at play with her three young children.

Katie Phepls

Katie Phelps is the Assistant Manager of Records and Surplus Property for Orange County Government. She is an ARMA Southeast chapter advisor for the Orlando and Jacksonville chapters. She is an editor for ARMA International’s Standard Development Program. Katie has been working in records management and archival management for six years. She will be attempting the Certified Archivist Exam in August.

John Spencer

John is the U.S. RIM Service Delivery Manager for Ernst & Young. He’s responsible for the management, strategy, special projects and daily operations across the U.S. He has more than 30 years of experience in customer service, people management, and building relationships. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, he worked for The Coca-Cola Company and The Home Depot. John has been a member of ARMA since 2008. Active in the Dallas ARMA Chapter, he served multiple terms as the Chapter President and various roles on the Chapter Board. He is currently serving on the ARMA Southwest Region Board as the Chapter Advisor for Marketing and Membership. In addition, he is a Nationally recognized speaker on Soft Skills and is actively involved with Ernst & Young’s employee resource networks, supporting the firm’s diversity and inclusiveness business strategy.
